We’ve all seen the sign - “Open 24 Hours”. It flickers in the window of an inner city diner. It hangs on the door of a run-down laundromat. It beckons late night binge eaters at local fast food joints. Bowling alleys, gas stations, supermarkets, casinos, gyms, drug stores, department stores, car washes, bus stations... the list goes on. But it’s what happens inside these places throughout the course of those twenty-four hours that will enlighten, educate and astound you.
“Open 24 Hours” is an unscripted, no-holds barred, in-your-face look at a day in the life of a 24-hour business. Each week, you’ll travel to a completely different 24-hour location, each with a new set of “characters” and a new set of stories to tell. Sure, you’ve been to these places before, but you’ve never experienced them like this.
You’ll meet the people who work there and the customers who show up - some regulars, some for the first time. You’ll learn that the typical customer who shows up at 10AM is much different from the customer who shows up at 3AM. And what drives a person to work the 2AM to 10 AM shift anyway? Ever wonder what the story was behind that guy with the black eye sitting across from you at the diner last night? Ever wonder if that guy and girl you saw talking to each other at the laundromat ever did go for coffee? And did you have any idea that the person who handed you your food through the drive-thru window last night used to work at the White House? This show asks the questions and gets the answers.
Throughout the course of one day/episode, you can’t help but invest in the lives of our “characters” as you laugh, cry and learn about life with them. Each person comes from a different place and each has their own unique story to tell.
No gimmicks, no celebrities, no challenges, no million dollars to be won – this is a show about individuals with unique personalities opening up to our cameras about their lives, loves, hardships, victories, emotions and ultimate goals. A lot can happen in 24 hours. Sit back and watch as our all-night establishments set the stage for lives to unfold right before your eyes.
